Obituary Condolences

Caudill Bonita K. "Bonnie" Caudill, age 71, of Sunbury, Ohio, died March 11, 2017 at her winter home in Bradenton, FL. Born June 17, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Frank and Geraldine Reppart. Just a few months after her birth, her family moved to the family farm in Sunbury where she has been a lifelong resident. Bonnie enjoyed the sunshine, and she and her husband had been enjoying the winters in Bradenton, FL, at the pool or on the boat. Bonnie was a 1963 graduate of Big Walnut High School, member of the National Honor Society. She was a 1967 graduate of Capital University, Columbus, OH, where she majored in speech and drama with a minor in music. Active in the drama club and the drill team, she joined the Women's Chorus, Pi Phi Epsilon and was also inducted into Pi Epsilon Delta, the theatre honorary. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Jim, she went to work for Lazarus in downtown Columbus, was a stay at home mom, a substitute teacher, and a part-time teller at the Delaware County Bank. A member of Condit Presbyterian Church for almost 60 years, Condit was an extension of her family. Since 1974, Bonnie has been the center of Condit's music program playing the organ, singing in the choir and directing bell choirs. Previously, she was a Sunday School Teacher; pageant coordinator; has actively helped with Vacation Bible School; and has cooked for, worked and organized the annual church smorgasbord. An active member of Condit's Friendly Club, she serves as the auctioneer at the annual auction. She has been involved with Pablum to Prom CCL, and enjoyed playing bridge with a bunch of fun gals. Survived by her husband of over 50 years, James; sons, Dennis (Cheryl) Caudill of Sunbury, Jason Caudill of Sunbury; and sister, Mary Pat Browne (Michael Bullard) also of Sunbury. A celebration of life service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Condit Presbyterian Church, 15102 Hartford Rd., Sunbury, Ohio 43074 led by Rev. Annie Melick. Her favorite sweets will be shared in the fellowship hall following the services. Arrangements entrusted to the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME. Burial services will be observed privately next to her parents in Trenton Cemetery.Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Condit Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
