Rev. Dr. Charles Edwin "Chuck" Stenner, age 91, of Plain City, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Dublin Retirement Village Assisted Living. Born on October 26, 1926 in Detroit Michigan. Army Veteran of WWII stationed in Tokyo at General McArthur's Headquarters. Attended the following: Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, University of Michigan, Princeton Theological Seminary, Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio to obtain his BA, MS, MDIV, DMIN. Retired Teacher, Administrator and Pastor. Served 27 1/2 years as Pastor of Plain City Presbyterian Church, 6 interims in Marion, Dublin, Columbus and Delaware. Member of Plain City Presbyterian Church, Plain City Lions Club, Columbus Singing Buckeyes, Presbyterian of Scioto Valley, Board President of Mortgagee Board of Pleasant Valley Colony, Secretary of Board of Trustees Presbytery of Scioto Valley. Choir member of Worthington Presbyterian Church. Married Patricia Mae (Smith) Stenner on September 2, 1949 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Michigan. Parents: late Alfred Jackson Stenner II and Katherine Ann (Schwesinger) Stenner, children: Lieutenant General Charles (Diedra Rice) Stenner, Jr. (Retired) of Centerville, GA, David (Lisa Dunson) Stenner of Union, KY, Timothy (Vickie McCabe) Stenner of Mars, PA; grandchildren: Jill (James) Kaufman, Eric (Jackie Parker) Stenner, Kelly (Clayton) Johnson, Nathan Stenner (Jared Gregoire), Trevor Stenner, Katherine (Jon) Bradstreet, Mark (Rio Friday) Stenner, Molly (Trey) Halbrooks; great-grandchildren: McKenna Kaufman, Riley Kaufman, Conner Kaufman, Arran Kaufman, Maddie Stenner, Charlie Stenner, Kevin Johnson, Darcy Johnson, Chloe Johnson, Brady Johnson, Wren Stenner, Edwin Stenner,Corinne Bradstreet; brothers: Rev. Dr. Alfred Stenner of Chapel Hill, NC, Rev. Henry (Gertrude) Stenner of Goodyear, AZ, Rev. Richard (Mary Lou) Stenner of Indianapolis, IN. Memorial Services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 29, 2017 at Plain City Presbyterian Church, 231 E. Main Street (Rt. 161W), Plain City, with Rev. Alice Phillips officiating. Burial of Cremated Remains at a later date, Forest Grove Cemetery.
