Charles A. Lindabury, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 plus years, Orlyle (Suzie), parents Charles A. and Ethel Lindabury Sr., sisters Hilda O'Rourke and Muriel Shinn. Survived by a nephew and four nieces. Devoted member and office volunteer of Summit United Methodist Church since November of 1948. Member of the former Columbus Civil Rights Council. Retired from North American Rockwell in 1976 after 25 years of service. Retired from Summit United Methodist Church in 1991 after 15 years of service. Volunteered for the American Red Cross in Columbus in 1993 after 12 years of service as a blood delivery driver. Served in the US Navy in 1943 and 1944 with a final rank of Ensign. Friends may call on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at the Summit United Methodist Church, 82 East 16th Avenue, Columbus, where a funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 14. Interment with naval honours to follow at Union Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Summit United Methodist Church in his memory. RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
