Charles L. Wolpert, age 89 of Dublin passed away peacefully Tuesday morning July 18, 2017 at The Grand of Dublin. Born September 15, 1927 in Dublin and "2002" Dublin High School graduate (actually 1946 but diploma was not presented until 2002 because of his active duty in the Navy)
Charlie was a WW II Navy veteran, member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Dublin and was an avid classic car enthusiast along with his beloved wife, Elfrieda, with their original 68 Chevy. Charlie was a long time farmer in the Dublin and Plain City area. He enjoyed the camaraderie and was an active member of the Miami Valley Steam Threshers, showing his car and antique tractors. Preceded in death by his parents: Chris G. & Louis (Leppert) Wolpert; wife of 49 years: Elfrieda (Burger) Wolpert – 2005; brother: Robert Wolpert – 1952; aunt: Elizabeth Leppert; brother-in-law: Arthur Boerger. Survived by sister-in-law: Dorothy Jean Boerger. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St. (St. Rt. 161) Plain City. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the funeral, from 10-11 AM Monday, July 24, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Rd, Dublin where funeral services will begin at 11 AM Monday with Rev.
