Chester C. Hickey Obituary
Hickey Chester C. Hickey, age 70, of Kenton passed away at 8:21 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born April 5, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Harold and Hazel (Markham) Hickey. At an early age Chester was raised by his step father Robert Fagan who is also deceased. He was married to Lydia and she survives in Kenton. They were together for 40 years. He is survived by his sister, Debbie (Charlie) Guiler of Pataskala, OH; a niece, Dawn (Chris) Sarjeant of West Palm Beach, FL; and great nephew, PFC Christofer Armentrout currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his son Chad Hickey. Chester was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, OH and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. serving in the Vietnam War. He and his wife were the owners of Sinfully Delicious Catering in Kenton for several years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Memorial Park Golf Course. Chester will be greatly missed by his cats Puma and Panda along with all his loving family and friends. A Memorial Mass for Chester C. Hickey will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Kenton at 10:30 a.m. with Father Dave Young and Father Jeffrey Tigyer officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Kenton AMVETS Post 1994 Honor Guard at the church following the Memorial Mass. Per Chester's request his body will be buried at sea at a later date. Friends are invited to share memories with Lydia and the family following mass at the funeral luncheon held in the St. Anthony's Center. SCHINDEWOLF STOUT CRATES FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements. Donations in Chester's memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society and/or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
