Craig E. Sothard age 61 of Galloway, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. Craig was born in Columbus to the late William F. and Mary Jane Sothard. He attended West High School Columbus State and The Ohio State University. He retired from L Brands after 30 years of service. He was a member of Moose Lodge #11 and American Legion Post #532. Craig enjoyed OSU sports and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was an avid softball player and coach for many teams. He also enjoyed bowling and was proud of his high score of 278. Music was a big part of Craig's life, particularly 70's rock and his favorite band Pink Floyd. He enjoyed family vacations (always around his birthday!) and since 1981, annual trips to the Delaware County Fair to watch the Little Brown Jug. He was a jack of all trades and was always available to help those in need. For the last 11 years, he was the CEO of Papa Day Care Service caring and helping with his grandchildren who he adored and spoiled. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jeff Sothard; parents-in-law John and Karen Stewart; brothers-in-law Dirk and Ted Welch; and furry companion Chloe; Craig is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years, Debra; children Christopher J. Burk, Chad (Jessica Jackson) Sothard, Cindi (Steven) Edwards, Craig S. "Boomer" (Kelly) Sothard; grandchildren Layla Jayne Edwards, Emmah Leeann Sothard, Steven "Trip" Edwards, Ryleigh Renee Sothard, and Braxton Scott Sothard; sister Billie Jane (A.B.) Scragg; sister-in-law Judy Welch; pet dog Claire; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Craig's family will receive friends 1-3 and 6-7 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway where his funeral service will held at 7 PM Tuesday.
