Dan Radanovich Obituary
Radanovich, Dan
1939 - 2017
Dan Radanovich, of Grove City, passed away on October 24, 2017 at the age of 78 following a hard fought battle with cancer. Born on June 24, 1939, to the late Drago and Blanche Radanovich. Dan and his wife Lillian have spent their lives together after meeting as teenagers in Wheeling, West Virginia. They worked tirelessly devoting themselves to raising a family that they continue to be proud of today. Dan loved his family endlessly and treasured boisterous family gatherings full of laughter. Along with a colorful vocabulary, he taught them the value of hard work and the importance of being a good neighbor. Whether it was family, friends or neighbors, Dan was always the first one there to offer a helping hand. Dan was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors immensely and was known for annually harvesting the best tomatoes east of the Scioto River. Full of energy, he always had a project and was happiest tinkering in his garage which he kept meticulous. Dan was the ultimate perfectionist and upon realizing that trait had skipped a generation he committed himself to mentoring his grandchildren. Dan retired from Buckeye Steel Castings where he had worked for over 30 years, and subsequently enjoyed working at Anderson's where he had developed many close friendships. Dan was also a member of the Groveport Masonic Lodge # 240 F&AM. In addition to Lillian, his wife of 59 years; Dan will be forever in the hearts of his children, Cindy (Errick) Engert, Dan (Marti) Radanovich, Cathy Radanovich, Chris (Randy) Hart, Carol (John) Tomsho; grandchildren, Emily, Jack Engert, Vince, Luke, Troy Plageman, Ali, Zac Tomsho, Patrick, Maggie Radanovich, Sara Hart; Jennifer (Ben) Meszaros; beloved dog, Bella and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother Pete, sister Desanka McGilton. The family thanks Dr. Tom Sweeney, his staff, the incredible people of the Riverside Methodist Oncology unit and loving friends and neighbors. Friends may visit Thursday, October 26, from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at 10:30 am on Friday, October 27 at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, OH.
