Dr. D and Janet,

Our hearts are breaking with you over the loss of your precious son. Words cannot express.....Our prayers continue for you during this difficult time. It had become a nightly habit at our house to pray for David at our evening family meal. We will continue to pray for you and for David's family. You have both given so much to shape who I am and I cherish our lifelong friendship. Sending our love.

When I first met David he would constantly give me grief about my last name by quoting a famous line from Billy Madison..."O'Doyle rules!" Initially this drove me nuts, but now that it's become a favorite phrase among many of my friends it serves as a comfort during this time of sorrow. Every time I hear it I'm reminded of the great friend I had in David. He brought joy and happiness to the room and never ceased to have a sense of humor. I will miss him dearly but I know that I will see him again.
