Donald Eugene "Don E." Fisher, age 87 formerly of Powell passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Sarah Moore Home in Delaware. Born on December 10, 1930 in Columbus to the late Harry J. and Mildred M. (Calvert) Fisher, graduated in 1949 from West High School in Columbus, attended Franklin University. Survived by beloved wife of over 67 years Pauline (Hudson) Fisher, children: John (Kathy) Fisher of SC, Diana (Michael) Foreman of Radnor Twp., James (JoAnn) Fisher of Scioto Twp., daughter-in-law Heidi Fisher of Marysville, 3 grandsons, 2 grand-daughters, 4 step-grandsons, 4 great-grandsons, 6 step-great-grandchildren, brothers: William, Richard, Charles Fisher, sister Barbara Winkler, nieces, and nephews. Also preceded in death by his son Don in 2016 and brother Thomas. Don proudly served Delaware County in many capacities, two terms as County Commissioner beginning in 1968, was executive director of the Buckeye State Sheriffs Assoc., and in 1977 became the first Delaware County Administrator, serving 10 years until 1987. Don also sold real-estate for 39 years in Delaware County, was an auctioneer for 45 years, and a real estate appraiser. He farmed, raised cattle, and owned Standard bred race horses. Friends may call 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware where services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, interment Radnor Cemetery.
