Donna Jean Bigony, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, February 17 at Friendship Village of Columbus. A beloved wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward Bigony; and her three children, Deborah (Titch) White, Chandra (John) Sayers and Chad (Stacey) Bigony; as well as her six grandchildren, Olivia and Zoe White, Jack and Nathan Sayers, and Ella and Audrey Bigony. Born Donna Jean Simpson daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank D . Simpson. Donna grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Avon Lake High School. She is a member of The Ohio State University School of Nursing Class of 1963. Donna was president of her senior class and a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She worked as an operating room nurse at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital for twenty two years. A long time resident of Westerville, she was an active member of the Church of the Messiah UMC. Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, and relaxing at the beach. Her family would like to thank the wonderful, loving staff at Friendship Village of Columbus and Mt. Carmel Hospice. Their excellent care provided Donna the best quality of life possible these last two years. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 2 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at THE HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State Street in Westerville. Services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11am at the Church of the Messiah, 51 N. State Street in Westerville with visitation beginning at 10 am.
