Dorothy Robohm Brownley Obituary
Brownley Dorothy Robohm Brownley, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2017h with her family by her side. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 11, 1945, the daughter of the late Dr. Claus Robohm and Dr. Dorothy Marie Robohm. Dorothy was raised in Southold, Long Island and was a graduate of Muhlenberg College and the Ohio State University (MBA). Dorothy had a passion for gardening and sailing on the Chesapeake and enjoyed travelling and taking long walks with her dogs. She was exceptionally caring and intelligent and known for her piercing blue eyes and infectious smile. Dorothy ended her career working as Executive Vice President at Huntington Bank where she dedicated herself to helping the community, founding the Huntington Garden in her beloved German Village, and actively involved in the YWCA, American Marketing Association and the Dresden Sister City program. In addition, Dorothy played a vital role in organizing events such as Son of Heaven, Ameriflora and the Huntington Regatta. She was selected as one of the first Women of Achievement by the YWCA. She will be dearly missed by her husband, John; her sons, Chris and David; three grandchildren, Adam, Lauren and Landon Brownley; and two brothers, John and her twin, Donald Robohm. She was predeceased by one brother Peter Robohm. A memorial service will be held at on Saturday, June, 3 at 3 p.m. at the German Village Society, 588 South Third St., Columbus, Ohio.
