Obituary Condolences

Rogers Dorys Rebecca Rogers, 95, of Columbus, passed away at Brookdale Trillium Crossing after a 4 1/2 year stay on May 9, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Rogers. Also, preceded by sister and brother-in-Iaw Marian and Dale Clouse, brother Dick Russell and grandson Alexander. Survived by her three sons, Jack Jr. with wife, Anna, Russell, and Scott with wife, Chris; five grandchildren, Ryan, Shaun, Jonathan, Lauren, Alexandra Rebecca; and five great grandchildren. Also, survived by nephew, Rich Clouse and wife, Dena. She was a faithful and long term member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, proud alumni of North High School, and life-long Columbus resident. She was a great homemaker and cook throwing many lavish dinner parties, with life-long friends traveled the entire world with the exception of Australia, and was deeply involved and enjoyed her activities at UALC. A little sassy, always classy and ornery with a quick smile and sharp wit. Many thanks to the great staff at Brookdale Trillium Crossing for a consistently high level of care and dedication. A very special thank you to Kathleen (HomeWell Senior Care), an extraordinary care giver and loving friend of four years. Visitation will be Friday, May 12 from 4-7 p.m. at RUTHERFORD CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, with a service following at 7 p.m. Burial will be Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to: Charity Newsies or Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio.
