Obituary Condolences

Ashleman Edward E. Ashleman, a lifelong resident of the Westside of Columbus, passed away on April 29, 2017. He was the beloved son of Walter and Lida (Carter) Ashleman, born on November 22, 1930 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Ed was a graduate of West High School and devoted his life to his wife, children and family. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Columbia Gas after many years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lois Ashleman, brother Chris Ashleman, sisters Bobbie Andrews and Archie Pettis and son-in-law Ken DiMartino. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Ashleman-DiMartino, Diane (Jack) Hulls, Julie (Rick) Alban-Byrne, Valerie (Sam) Ashleman, and Vicki Catalfina; grandchildren, Colin (Kelly) Hulls, Caitlyn Hulls, Samantha and Julio Byrne, and Alix and Nicolette Tangi; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the HOPE & HEART FUNERAL HOME BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204, where funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. Fr.
