Flora Lynn Smith, 63, of Richwood, passed away Tuesday morning, March 20, 2018 at the Kobacker House in Columbus surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15, 1954 in Delaware to the late Orville James Smith and Winifred (Thomas) Smith. Flora worked for MAI Manufacturing in Marysville for many years and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved browsing flea markets and yard sales and listening to Motown music. She absolutely loved her family and enjoyed cooking huge feasts for them and her friends. She also had a knack of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Jayson Smith of Columbus and Van Lee Smith of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Chazmin, Kani, Yasmin, Koron, Jae'lin, Keelei, Nevaeh, Arriana, and James Jason II; brothers, James (Linda) Smith of Springfield, Reece (Denise) Smith of Delaware and Nelson (Pricilla) Smith of Delaware; honorary sister, Fran Hill of Columbus. Flora is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of extended family in the community. In addition to her parents, Flora was preceded in death by 5 brothers Bennie Price, John Daniel Price, Joe Price, Robert Price and Raymond Price and 2 sisters Elizabeth Shelton and Mary Morall. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10-11 am at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware. Celebration of Life services will follow at 11 am with Pastor Robert Casey Medley officiating. A reception will follow in the Snyder-Rodman Community Room.
