1937 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Crow George Lee Crow, 80, of Logan, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at The Carlin House in Logan. He was born February 8, 1937 in McArthur, son of the late Henry A. and Garnett Walton Crow. George was married to the late Eleanor Winters Crow. He was a retired plumber who owned and operated Harbarger Plumbing and formerly worked at Metalbestos. George was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Mingo Lodge #181 F&AM, Hocking County Fish and Game, a life member of the NRA and the US Coastguard Auxiliary. He was also an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster and a former Logan City Councilman. He and his wife Ellie were very active in supporting Hocking Valley Community Hospital. George was an avid supporter of Empty Bowls and was on the former Hocking Hills Country Club Board of Directors. He had three brothers and 11 sisters and is also survived by his pets, Missy, Fudge, Snuggles, Muffin and Sophie. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 258 E. Hunter St., Logan, with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Inurnment will be held in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Arrangements are by CARDARAS FUNERAL HOME, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
