Greg also attended The Ohio State University, where he was a proud Phi Gamma Delta, and later graduated from its College of Pharmacy (1970). In 1978 he founded Medical Plaza Pharmacy, the inaugural store for Mediserv Pharmacies (1981), which at its peak operated seventeen pharmacies across central Ohio. Greg was also a former director of the Beulah Park Jockey Club, where he was an avid and talented horse racer. He served on several advisory boards and was a member of many notable institutions, including the Phi Gamma Delta Alumni Association, American Pharmacists Association, OSU Alumni Association and President's Club, Cardinal Health, and Wedgewood Golf and Country Club. Greg is preceded in death by his grandparents Isidor and Amalie (Baierschmidt) Rathgeb and Ralph and Hazel (Mulby) Garner, his parents Ralph and Evelyn (Rathgeb) Garner, beloved brother, Gary Garner, uncle David Garner, and half-brother Ralph Garner III.
