Helen Elizabeth Anglim Obituary
Anglim Helen Elizabeth Anglim, age 94, passed away peacefully April 3, 2017 surrounded by the family she loved. She was born October 14, 1922 on the NoII family farm in Perry County, Ohio. She moved to Columbus after graduating from Holy Trinity High School in Somerset and attended Capital Business School. She worked in Columbus until she met the love of her life, Jerry Anglim. They were married January 28, 1943, and quickly went about raising 6 children in Worthington, Ohio. Her life's dedication was to her family. This steadfast commitment led to a wondrous journey: from growing tomatoes in the back yard garden of the family's home in Colonial Hills, to adventuring on family camping and fishing trips, to working church festivals, to directing Girl Scout Summer Camps, to cheering at Watterson Wrestling matches and Ohio State Buckeye Games, to bowling and playing cards with the girls and beating the men during "The Sunday Night Bridge Games". She returned to work after her children were grown at Worthington Bakery and then at Ohio Workmen's Compensation. She welcomed with loving arms the additions to her family as the grandchildren and great grandchildren kept coming. She always said, "The more the merrier." She was an active member of both Saint Michael and Saint Anthony parishes. She was the best daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and neighbor one could ever know. She will be greatly missed and surely remembered with a smile by all those whose life she touched. Preceded in death by parents John and Veronica NoII, loving husband Jeremiah J. Anglim, son Timothy Anglim, son-in-law Kevin Collins, brother John NoII, sisters Agnes Clouse, Mary Schmidt, and twin Hilda Lennon, devoted friends Casey and Bonnie Fredericks. She is survived by children, Jerry (Ellen) Anglim, Patty Anglim, Kitty Amorose, Nancy Taylor Collins, Marty (Al Clement) Anglim, Phil (Rhonda) Anglim; grandchildren, Adrienne Amorose, Tony (Kristen) Amorose, Joe Anglim, Larissa (Chris) Moore, Sarah (Josh) Rhoads, Allison Taylor, Veronica, Celia, Samuel Nappi, Erin and Tom Anglim; great grandchildren, Blake and Tate Anglim, Lia Clare Amorose, Jack and Miles Moore. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 5, from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at St. Michaels Church, 5750 N. High Street, Worthington. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. Memorial donations can be made in Helen's memory to Bishop Watterson High School, 99 E. Cooke Road, Columbus, 43214. www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com
