Helen Ludwig Keefer went to Heaven 9 days before her 99th birthday. Born to the late William and Bertha Ludwig on September 12, 1918. Preceded in death by 11 siblings Ralph (Hazel), Mable (Fred), Seymour (Ethel), Thelma (Theodore), Lucille (Buck), William (Mabel), Arthur (Mary), Dorothy (Glenn), Leroy (Joy), Norma (Joe) and baby Jimmy. She was married 45 years to the late Wilbur W. Keefer who owned Keefer's Jewelers in West Jefferson, Ohio from the early 1950's to 1981. Survived by two daughters, Gloria (Curtis, deceased) Young of Pikeville, Kentucky and Julie (Glenn, deceased) Rogers of Columbus; grandchildren, Christopher (Jayna) Rogers and Steffanie (Ben) Schaffer; three great grandchildren, Kaylie and Olivia Schaffer and Franklin Lewis Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews including Shelia Roll, Theresa Thrush and the Fields girls, Seymour Ludwig Jr. and his siblings and families. Special thanks to her Bingo Buddies, Tara and Larry Damron. She was a long time member of South United Methodist Church and worked for many years in the Free Store. Helen was a loving and kind person who never met a stranger. She shared God's love with everyone she met. She was a member of Livingston United Methodist Church and was known for her hugs on Sunday Morning. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Special thank you to Meadow Grove Traditional Care for all their love and kindness in these last few months. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High Street, where the funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Jim Donnan officiating. Interment in Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Livingston UMC Music Ministry, 200 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
