Helen Maxine Ransbottom, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia (Bennett) Woodard of Cottageville, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William J. Ransbottom, brothers Earnest and Marvin Woodard and sister Vivian Craig. She is survived by her stepson, William S. Ransbottom of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Shirley Woodard of Letart, WV; several nieces and nephews; also Gilbert "Skip" and Scott Edwards whom she helped raise and loved dearly. Helen was employed by Timken Roller Bearing Company of Columbus, OH for ten years, bought and sold real estate for eighteen years, and retired from AT&T Technologies with nineteen years of service. She traveled all over the world and sailed on many cruises. She loved ballroom and square dancing and was a published poet. She will be missed by the many friends who knew her. Family will receive friends 10-11 am Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 11 am with Pastor Vaughn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Fancher Cemetery in Westerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brice United Methodist Church, 3160 Brice Rd, Brice, OH 43109, where Helen was a devoted member for many years.
