Henry Lustig Obituary
Lustig, Henry
Henry Lustig, age 72, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017. A brilliant man who remained positive and hopeful no matter the circumstance. Nobody else was remotely like him. How wonderful it is that he existed. www.OhioCremation.org. Born on April 1, 1945, in Ferramonti di Tarsia, Consenza, Italy, the son of the late Richard and Magdalena Lustig, née Nagel. The family emigrated to Brooklyn, NY from Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1949, before settling in Galion, Ohio, the following year. A graduate of the Ohio State University with a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Public Policy and Management, he dedicated his life to making a positive impact on as many individuals as possible with a focus on children and adolescents, most recently serving as Health Planning Administrator - Project Manager for Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) for Foster Care and Adjudicated Youth for the Ohio Department of Health. Recently retired and eager to start a new chapter of his life, he had grand plans to travel and explore, a true appreciator of music, literature, arts, cinema, food, and history. He will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, quick wit, and kind-heart: a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and mentor to many. He is survived by his children (twins): daughter Gillian and son Christopher, who admired him greatly. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 29 years, the love of his life: Sara Elinor Lustig, née Shilts. In keeping with his wishes, services will be held privately by his family. A future gathering will take place at a later date with the intent that in connecting others, he may continue to make a positive impact.
