She was also an aunt, great-aunt and good friend to many. Throughout her 95 years Irene exemplified what it means to live a life dedicated to others. Every day of her long and rich life was filled with hard work, all for the betterment of her family and friends, whether managing her family's candy business, caring for her grandchildren and aging parents, or helping a friend in need. Irene had an unwavering faith in God. As a devout member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, she served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, Philoptochos member and GOYA advisor. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15 from 4-7pm (Trisagion Service at 6pm) at The O.R. WOODYARD NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 2990 Bethel Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43220. Funeral services will be Friday, February 16 at 11am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High St., Columbus Ohio 43215. Irene's family wishes to thank all of those who helped care for her during the final year of her life. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral or The Philoptochos. Interment Union Cemetery
