J. Herbert "Herb" Pettit, age 85, a resident of Bulverde, Texas, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the home of his son in West Jefferson, OH. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Herb enjoyed his family, horses and trail riding. He attended Bulverde United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna who passed in 2017 and his daughter Pamela. Herb is survived by his children, Tom (Deb) Pettit, of West Jefferson, OH, Terry (Sheila) Pettit of Gaffney, SC and Sandy Pettit of Bulverde, TX; his grandchildren, Craig (Roni) Pettit of Hilliard, OH, Brady (Angela) Pettit of Citrus Heights, CA, Andrea Pettit Jenkins of Gaffney, SC, Heather Miller of Galloway, OH and Erin (Jeremy) Kyanko of Rittman, OH; his great-grandchildren, Blake and Macy Pettit, Alexandria and Lillian Pettit, Cody and Makenzie Jenkins, Carson and Landon Miller, and Claire and Cooper Kyanko; his sisters, May Rider of Zanesville, OH, Virginia (Bob) Hill of Columbus, OH, Phyllis (Dean) Lyon of Conesville, OH, Cathy (Gary) Heiney of Roseville, OH and their families; his brother-in-law, Lewis (Joyce) Devore of Mt. Adams, TX and their family. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on MONDAY, JULY 23, 2018 at West Jefferson United Methodist Church, 36 South Center Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162. Burial will be held by the family at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville, OH.
