1931 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Young James David Young, Sr., age 85, of Webster, Florida, will have a service of remembrance held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Turn Point Apostolic Church, 7718 Groveport Road, Groveport, OH 43125, with Reverend Joseph Arata officiating. Interment Service will be held after the Remembrance Service at Carroll Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main Street, Groveport, OH 43125. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Turn Point Apostolic Church or Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, www.youthranches.org. Mr. Young was born October 21, 1931 in Carroll, Ohio, son of Marion (Cy) and Emma Mae Young. He passed in Jacksonville, FL, on March 21, 2017, from an acute illness. A retired minister, and founder of what was to become Turn Point Apostolic Church, he was a life-long entrepreneur in the businesses of building contracting, the plant nursery industry, property development, charter fishing and proprietor of Big Pine Key Flea Market, in which he involved his wife and children. He was a long-time resident of the Columbus, Ohio, area, and the Florida Keys. In 2012, Mr. Young relocated to Webster, FL to pursue his retirement dream of cattle ranching. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Oleva Ann (Johnson) Young on December 1 and his eldest son James David Young, Jr. He is survived by sons, Jeffrey W. Young, Sr. of Bethel Springs, TN, Donald A. Young, Sr. of Big Pine Key, FL, Paul E. Young, of Sumterville, FL; daughter, Julia Young-Buckius of Ocala, FL; 12 grandchildren: James D. Young, III, Annette M. Young, Jeffrey W. Young, Jr., Amy M. Young-Turner, Melonie A. Shelby, Candice A. Cerrato, Donald A. Young, Jr., Kimberly A. Young, Brandon C. Young, Scott A. Young, David E.
