James K. Heller "Jim", age 88, of Grove City, Ohio, died February 16, 2021 at his residence under the care of Hospice. James was born August 9, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert O. Heller and Hannah Jane Wolfe Heller Florence. He was a graduate of Purdue University, a member of the National Air Transportation Honorary Scholastic Fraternity Sigma Alpha Tau and a graduate of Warren Central High School. James was a US Army veteran and served in Korea. He was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Lions Club, the Grove City Historical Society, and the YMCA. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Pollard Heller, sister Patricia S. Bluhm, brother Robert E. Heller. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon (Ted) Shaum, Laura (Russ) Randall, son Ross (Amy) Heller, and daughters, Sandra (Donald Jr) Thomas, and Tracey (Geoff) Rigney; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 more great grandchildren on the way; sister, Linda J. Hosman lives in Farmington Hills, MI. Jim retired in 1991 from AC Delco, a division of General Motors after 32 years of service and worked several years after retirement at Automotive Distributers Warehouse in Columbus, OH. Jim loved all social activities including telling stories, playing the ukulele, dad jokes and making people laugh. In his younger years he loved to water ski and taught everyone that visited how to water ski if they did not know how. Jim's last water-skiing adventure was at the age of 80! Friends may visit Friday, February 26, from 4-7PM at THE Spence-Miller Funeral Home, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio. His funeral will take place 1PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
