James Louis Tyler, Jr., 58, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2017. He was born September 16, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio to Sandra and James Louis Tyler, Sr. He was proceeded in death by his sister Sandra "Candy." James was a graduate of Columbus Public Schools, he also studied at Columbus State and The Ohio State University. James was a State of Ohio Correctional Officer where he served until the time of his passing. James was united in marriage to Angela Moore on July 19, 1997. They recently celebrated twenty years of marriage and have two loving children Ja'Cree and Ja'Kara. James delighted in his children, watching them grow and mature into wonderful young adults. James had a smile that could light up a room. James truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; hitting the gym daily, chatting with friends and spending time with family. James had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. James leaves to carry on his memory and legacy, his wife, Angela; his children, Ja'Cree and Ja'Kara; his mother, Sandra Tyler; father, James Louis Tyler, Sr.; five sisters, Vernell, Mary, Tina, Tonya, and Linda. He is survived by four sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and a mother-in-law. and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, uncles, aunts and friends. Funeral service 1:00 pm Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Faith Ministries Church, 2747 Agler Rd.; Columbus, OH 43224, Dr. C. Dexter Wise, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, Friday, 12:00 noon until the start of services. Interment in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
