Jerry Price Obituary
Price, Jerry
Jerry Lee Price, 72, died on September 20, 2017, with his family by his side. Jerry was born in Columbus, the youngest and most rascally of Glenn and Maxine (Krouse) Price's four children. He claimed the maverick mantle early and never let go. His favorite piece of "art" was a big stone inscribed with his abiding philosophy, which advised to "Live and let live." Jerry was a generous man with a knack for fixing most anything that broke. He loved dogs, coffee and donuts, and he grew the best tomatoes. His family remains especially proud of his sharp sense of humor. Wish we had a nickel for every witty insult aimed our way. But, as Jerry said, he didn't tease you unless he loved you. A U.S. Army veteran, Jerry served his country with honor in Vietnam. He returned to work in the auto industry and for the federal government. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glenn Jr., and life partner Sandy Nappi. Jerry didn't care to be without Sandy and he died on her birthday. He is survived by daughter, Rita (Ray Stein) Price; grandsons, Ben Coder and Jack Stein; daughter, Lynn (Charlie Keller) Price; grandchildren, Adam and Stephanie Keller; son, Jim (Elizabeth) Price; and granddaughters, Charlotte and Victoria; and sisters, Donna Holt (George Bevens) and Linda Morris. Jerry didn't want a funeral service. In his memory, please forgive an old slight, crack a good joke or pay someone a kindness.
