John "Jack" Albert Bartos, age 69, of Lake Alfred, Fl., was received by the Lord at home after a long battle with cancer on January 13, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loyal brother and loving son. Jack loved sports, especially his Ohio State Buckeyes. Born on December 22, 1948, he was raised a Browns and Indians fan in Cleveland, OH. He proudly served our nation in the US Army at the Presidio, San Francisco and later married the love of his life, Carolyn (Sulik), on May 15, 1971. He raised his family of three sons in Reynoldsburg, OH., where he spent his days as a Communications Engineer. In addition, he took to coaching youth sports and being involved in every aspect of his children's lives and helping mentor young people. He retired to Lake Alfred, Fl. In 2006 and continued to be active in the community, enjoying golfing, traveling and his pet birds. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Agnes (Faulhaber) Bartos, his sister Mary, his baby sister Ann Marie and daughter Anne. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn; his sons, their wives, and his 6 grandchildren; John "Jay"(Danielle-Anna and Evan), James(Amanda-Ella and Lily) and Jeffrey (Nicole- Isabel and Isaac); his brothers, Frank (Donna), Richard (Barbara), and Robert (Norleen); and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 311 Robinson Drive, Haines City, Fl., on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:30 am. An additional Inurnment memorial will take place in May, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery on National Road in Pataskala, OH.
