John Kaufman Obituary
Kaufman, John
John Cook Kaufman, 62, peacefully passed away on September 24, 2017 in the company of his two sisters in Cuenca, Ecuador. He was born and raised in Bexley and Westerville, Ohio. He attended The Columbus Academy, graduated from The Kiski School and Boston University. John served as Warden for the United States Embassy in Ecuador. He was a man who loved great adventures and traveled extensively. John enjoyed learning foreign cultures and languages and taught English to those who desired to learn it. He had many friends around the world, but his past home in Montana was where he continued to visit each year. He was a loving son, brother, and friend whose infectious laugh brought joy to many. He is survived by his sisters Janet Felber, Carolyn Sarrisin, Heidi Kaufman, his stepmother Linda Foettinger Kaufman, and stepbrothers James and Jeffrey Case. He was preceded in death by his Father, John (Jack) Sharrard Kaufman, Mother, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Cook Case, stepfather Nelson H. Case, sister Dana Kaufman Irvine and stepbrother Nelson Case Jr. If you so wish, please donate to a charity of your choosing in honor of John. Our hearts will always remember you, John.
