Joseph Dale Johnson Obituary
Johnson Joseph Dale Johnson. On May 25, 2017, Mr. Joseph Dale Johnson, age 52 of Grove City, Ohio, passed away May 25, 2017. He is the youngest child of Dr. Rulon B. and Mrs. Barbara Johnson of Whitesburg, GA. Dale is survived by his three wonderful children, Joseph L. Johnson of Gainesville, GA, Stephanie E. Johnson of Villa Rica, GA, and Destiny F. Johnson of Grove City, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Kira, and Barrett Johnson of Carroll County, GA; three siblings, Mrs. Sandra and Mr. Roy Pryor of Whitesburg, GA, Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Peggy Johnson of Murphy, NC, and Mr. Daryl and Mrs. Betty Johnson of Whitesburg, GA; nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends he has made throughout his life. With a larger than life personality, and stubborn attitude, dale was one of the funniest people you would ever meet. He was a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan, and man oh man would he rub that in his Ohio Buckeye friends, neighbors and co-workers faces. After moving to Ohio, he was employed by DSW Distribution Center in Columbus, Ohio, also all the while following his love of the law to pursue his career with H&R Block. Dale's family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and also to his neighbors and dear friends, the Maynard family. Thank you Julie, Grady, Ana, and Riley! Thank you for allowing Dale into your lives and treating him as your own family in our absence. Your family was a godsend when we could not be there for him; you all were there as we wished we could have been. Dale would want his friends and family to always remember the he would want you to celebrate his life and not mourn his death. To his friends and co-workers at both DSW and H&R Blocks- Thank you. He loved H&R Block and tax-prep, and he had "mad shoe love". Celebration of Life will be conducted Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. from MARTIN HIGHTOWER HERITAGE CHAPEL. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in College Park, Georgia.
