July 25, 1962 – December 8, 2017
Kathy was born in Columbus, Ohio, and was a 1980 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School where she was a state champion in track. She attended the University of Tennessee on a track and field scholarship where she was an individual national collegiate champion in the 5000 meter run as a part of the Tennessee team that won the national team championship. In all, she was an individual All-American 7 times in track and cross country, and was a member of the US team to the World Cross Country championships. She was a participant in the US Olympic Trials at Indianapolis in 1988 in the 10,000 meter run. Kathy valued the lasting friendships and relationships with her coaches and teammates acquired through her many years of association with her Tennessee Volunteer and OSU Buckeye extended families. She was a member of the Watterson High Alumni Club, the Ohio State Alumni Club of Phoenix, The Shamrock Club of Columbus, and Buckeye Bob's Tailgate. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Ernie Bryant. She is survived by Daughter Carrie (Geno) Booher, Grandchildren Henry and Elle Booher, Mother Patty Bryant, Brothers Jim, Tom (Georganne), and Jack (Michele) Bryant, Sister Karen (Rich) Finn, Uncle Frank Weirick, many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and Irish family. Friends received at the MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME 1068 S. HIGH ST. on Thursday December 14, 2017 4-8 pm, Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel located on the ground of St. Joseph Cemetery. Burial to follow.
