Kenneth E. Davis, 84, of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Country Lane Gardens and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 14, 1933 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Amos and Esther Davis. He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Air Force from 1953-1957. Kenneth was a retired railroad clerk for CSX Railroad with 25 years of service. He was an active member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church, Past president of the Local Union, Chaplain for the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 for 20 years and drove school bus for Pickerington Schools in the 1970's. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loretta (Chaffin) Davis; children that he dearly loved, Andy (Tracy Sidle) Davis of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Kimberly Whitmire of Georgia, Renee (Terry) Jenkins of Florida and Mike (Robin) Prindle of Baltimore, Ohio; nine beautiful granddaughters, Elizabeth, Amelia, Rebecca, Brittany, Michelle, Julie, Jessica, Jamie, and Jennifer; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Davis; sisters, Nellie Dillon, Doris Rose, Alm Bevor; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Don, John, Jim Davis, sisters, Beaulah Mae Gornall and Eloise Brammer and brother-in-law, George Gornall. Homecoming service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Mark Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be given to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
