Kevin Scott Pollard Sr., age 55, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 14, 1962 to Brigette (Flowers) Russell and the late Morris Alvin Pollard in Columbus, Ohio. Kevin was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, but enjoyed spoiling his beloved grandchildren more than anything. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during Desert Storm. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed singing and listening to music. Kevin was exceptional at all sports, especially boxing and football. He was a diehard Michigan Wolverine fan and loved Linden for Life. He worked for many years at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus City Schools, the Veteran's Administration and currently worked for the Department of Defense. Along with his father, Kevin is preceded in death by loving son Brandon Pollard and maternal grandparents Maxine and Raleigh Flowers. He is survived by loving children, Brittney Pollard, Kevin (Victoria) Pollard, Jr., Leslie Pollard and Tyree Simmons; mother, Brigette Russell; beloved grandchildren, Amirrah, Armiya, Braylen, Khylen, Kevin III, Kiera and Kelvin; siblings, Janet Pollard, Ronald (Mischelle) Pollard, Konni Fleming, Steve Pollard and Lemanuel (Shenise) Wright; mothers of his children, Carmen Harris and Tiffany Simmons; special nephew, Ron "Bink" (Brittany) Pollard; special friends, Kelvin and Eric Talley and close family friend, Andrew "Skeeter" Bowman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
