Kevin Stone Obituary
Stone, Kevin
Kevin Alan Stone, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2017 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 46. Kevin was a registered nurse and a Marine and Army veteran. He attended college at Bowling Green State University where he married his wife of 17 years and started a family with their two kids. He later attended OSU Newark to get his nursing degree. He loved coaching his kids' sports teams and playing the occasional basketball game with his son. Kevin was an amazing shot at the gun range and enjoyed spending time with his English bulldog. He was a huge fan of Batman, the Hulk, the Thing, and Rambo; even nicknaming himself Kevbo. He often spent his days watching movies while drinking Coca-Cola and eating Doritos and Fudge Rounds. He wore his renowned "bat belt" everywhere he went and drove various smart cars, including his Prius. He was a caring person who should be remembered as so. He is survived by his mother, Sheila Dowden; the mother of his children, Suzanne Stone; his daughter, Katelynn; his son, Kobe; his brother, Steve Stone (Crissy); uncle, John and aunt, Linda Vest; uncle, James and aunt, Donna Dowden; aunt, Lavera Hurst (Bob); his in-laws, the Needels; his dogs, Jordan and Bernie; along with many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Clyde and Grace Stone, and his father Roger Redmond. The family will be conducting a small private service in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Kevin Stone Scholarship Fund memorial account. This has been set up at Huntington Bank to assist with the kids' college expenses.
