Käthe Minna Zimmer, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at her residence at the Willow Brook Christian Home in Delaware. She was born in Bolkenhain, Germany to the late Fritz and Meta Hilse. An avid cook and gardener, Käthe made a home for her family when they immigrated to the United States from Bolkenhain, Germany in 1952. Her church memberships included: St. Peter Lutheran Church, St. Luke Lutheran Church and All Shepherds Lutheran Church. Käthe was a member of the Germania Club, where she enjoyed preparing authentic German foods. While residing in Linden, she was a member of the International Cookie Club, where she and other ladies made and shared traditional cookies. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernhard Zimmer, and grandson Brent Zimmer, brother Werner Hilse. A loving Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother; Sister, Aunt and Friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived, by her daughter, Dagmar (David) Cianelli; son, Bolko "Bo" (Jan) Zimmer; grandchildren, Charles Zimmer, Monica (Paul) Mercurio, Stephen and Renee Cianelli; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Alec, Vincent, Eva, Jaden, Jackson and Mason; brother, Guenther (Brigitte) Hilse; sister-in-law, Helen Kuehn; and niece, Christina (Peter) Hellyer. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 11 am-12 Noon, where her Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm at All Shepherds Lutheran Church, 6580 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035. Pastors Craig and Wendy Richter, officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
