Leo Getz Obituary

GETZ Leo N. Getz, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Doctors Hospital West. Employed with Borden for 38 years. Member St Cecilia Catholic Church. Veteran US Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Member American Legion, Southway Post #144, Luther B. Turner Lodge #732, F&AM, the 4 S Club of Xavier, and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a volunteer with the Special Olympics. Preceded in death by wife of 61 years Wanda, brother George Getz. Survived by children, Judy Getz, Kathie (John) Wickle, Deborah (Bob) Lubell and Karen (Leonard) Holland; grandchildren, Heather, John, Hollie, Shae, Jordan, Liam and Halie; seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Leo Connolly, Celebrant. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery. American Legion service, 3:45 p.m, Monday.
