1931 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Wilson Lois C. Coakley Wilson, 85 of Canal Winchester went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2017 at Amber Park Assisted Living, Pickerington, Ohio. She was born at home as a triplet on December 24, 1931 to the late H. Morris and Martha (Dye) Coakley of Carroll, Ohio along with her triplet brother, Lowell and sister, Loise. Lois was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, ceramics, china painting and oil painting. She lived a life of serving others. She loved to share the fruits of her labor with others, generously giving fruits and vegetables from her garden and her beautiful artwork to friends and relatives. She was a devoted Christian who freely shared her faith with others, sang in the church choir, attended Bible study classes and enjoyed Christian music and television programs. She retired from Canal Winchester School District with 25 years of service in the school cafeteria. She is survived by her children, Steve (Jane) Wilson, Karen (Jeff) Sammons, Jeffrey (Jalinda) Wilson and Janine Baker; eight grandchildren, Pam (Jeff) Hickman, Kevin Baker, Amy Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Jessica (Andrew) Rumberger, Angela Sammons, Gabe Wilson, Gwen Wilson; four great grandchildren, Paige Baker, Noah Baker, Cory Rumberger and Kayden Rumberger. She was preceded in death by parents Morris and Martha Coakley, husband Donald Wilson, sisters Virgene Brandt, Eileen Miller and Loise Searle, brothers Lowell and Darrell Coakley, son-in-law Brian E. Baker and grandson Matthew Wilson. Friends and family may visit 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the funeral home. Interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster, OH.
