Lois Marlene (Chapman) Forster, age 83, of Canal Winchester, died peacefully Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her residence. Lois was born on July 27, 1934 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Orlando and Helen (Hamilton) Chapman. Lois was a 1952 graduate of Springfield High, where she met her husband Robert H. Forster. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death in 2007. Lois started working in high school at the Vogue Shop an exclusive men's store in Springfield, Ohio as a bookkeeper. She and her husband moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1978. She went on to work at Lutheran Social Services and Cardinal Foods Home Office as an account receivable clerk. Lois loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Lois will be deeply missed by her sister, Barbara (Chapman) Wilson Carlisle; daughter, Michelle (Bill) Wentzel; grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda) Van Almsick and Patra Ann Van Almsick; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Shayde, Cheyanne; special friends, Gary and Joanne Van Almsick; son, John E. Forster; grandson, Robert Forster. Special thank you to Jackie, Della, Deb, Lillian and Angela from Visiting Angels of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Anita, Jinni, James from the Mt. Carmel East Hospice team, for the love, compassion and care Lois received. Family and friends may visit from 5-8:00 pm on Monday, January 8 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 9 at Rose Hill Burial Park, 4781 S Charleston Pike, Springfield, OH 45502.
