To the Komives family,
I just heard the news, and I and truly sad to hear of the loss of Lou. I remember him as no-nosense teacher who also loved to tell jokes. He was very helpful to me my first year working at Ohio Avenue Elementary.

I heard of Louie's passing through a mutual friend, Herb Burton. Louie was a great friend in high school and at Ohio State. We played a lot of basketball together - usually out in Pickerington, and Louie was always a fun companion.
My condolences to his family.

To Jan and Maurin. Connie and I have so many good memories of Lou coaching the girls softball teams and the funny stories Kristen would share with us of Lou's antics, comments and expressions. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Our deepest sympathy to you.
