Mable Ann Hupp, 95, of Westerville, passed away on March 27, 2018 at the Village of Westerville, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Born June 1, 1922 in Portland, Ohio, she was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Lona (Cobb) Cox, additionally four siblings, and her husband Ellis Earl Hupp, Jr. in 2014, after 72 years of marriage. Upon graduation from Bliss Business School in 1941, Mable went to work for the Women's Christian Temperance Union, was married in 1942 to Ellis, with whom she was a part of several entrepreneurial adventures, including plumbing and ice cream businesses, worked for a time at Ohio Auto Auctions, and was a lifetime member of Linden UMC, where she served 30 years as treasurer. She belonged to a golf league into her 90s, and in general was a sweet, quiet person with a variety of tenacious skills. Her children, daughter Jennifer Rees (Jack), sons Barry (Sandy), Eric (Carole), and Keith (Cheryl) Hupp, consider themselves blessed to call her mother. She is also survived by six grand and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5-8PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a funeral will be held Saturday at 1PM. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
