Schroer Margaret J. Schroer, age 89, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. Margaret was born on January 7, 1928 in Napoleon, Ohio to Claude and Irene (Durham) Buckmaster. She was a 1945 graduate of Napoleon High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Defiance College in 1952. Margaret taught in various cities including Pettisville and Defiance, Ohio and Beech Grove and Union City, Indiana. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kathy Schroer, Sheila Schroer, Bradley (Diane) Schroer and Scott (Karin) Schroer; grandchildren, Madison and Ashley Schroer; sisters, Ida Buckmaster and Shirley Higbea; brothers, Earl (Brenda) Buckmaster and Walter (Judy) Buckmaster; and in-laws, Elvera Buckmaster, Larry Knepley and Norma Buckmaster. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Schroer, sons Craig Scott and Edwin Mark, sisters Norma Jean Buckmaster, Betty Tuttle, Maxine Grogg and Patricia Knepley, brothers Charles and Donald Buckmaster, two nieces and two nephews. Family will receive friends 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 East Main Street, Bexley, Ohio 43209, where family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m. until time of service. There will also be a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Mother Angeline McCroy Manor, 5199 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213, where family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until time of service. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Independence Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio. The family would like to give special appreciation to the loving caregivers at Mother Angeline McCroy Manor.
