Margaret M. (Coyle) Patzer, 87, passed away October 30, 2017. Born and raised in upstate New York. Graduate of Lowville Academy, 1948, and Elizabeth School of Nursing in Utica, NY, 1951. Worked at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, NY, 1951-52. Margaret served as a nurse in the U.S. Air Force, 1953-1955, where she met and married Richard Patzer, moving to his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. She worked as an RN at the Columbus Cancer Clinic and Grant Medical Center. She was also a tutor and teacher of English (ESL) to immigrants to this city for over 35 years. Margaret (predeceased by mother, Iris Coyle) is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard (Dick) Patzer; daughters, Catherine Patzer (Jeff Dersch) and Suzanne Patzer (Bob Fitrakis); son, Carl (Diane) Patzer; nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday, November 6, from 5-7 pm, at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio. A service will immediately follow. Cremation ashes to be mingled with her husband's, after his death, in Union Cemetery's Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charities of donor's choice.
