Marjorie Lucille Lawson was born to Jack A. Foster and Geneva Evans Foster on February 9, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio and went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2017. She was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was named Church Mother in 2001. She was a retired L.P.N. and served in many Church Ministries. Mother Lawson was Church Clerk for over 40 years, Member of the Faithful Ruth Missionary Society, Nurses Corps, Sr. Choir, Sunday School Jr. Class #4 and Vacation Bible School Teacher, Church Membership Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Scholarship Committee and Worker's Council. Mother Lawson is survived by son, Rodney (Ruth) Lawson; daughters, Brenda Hill and Marjorie Crowell; daughter-in-law, Wonner Lawson; sister-in-law, Ida Mae Crump; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and her Antioch Church Family. Celebration of Life 11 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1015 Chambers Rd., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Union Cemetery. Arrangements by C. D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave.
