Mary A. Rogers, 74, of Columbus, passed away February 22, 2018 following an extended illness. Mary was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and Morris Harvey College. She worked in several different professions throughout her career including as a radio personality in Charleston, WV and for much of her career as a marketing representative for Enesco, promoting their line of Precious Moments collectible figurines. Mary brought her expertise and love of working with others to every endeavor she undertook. In more recent years she lived in Columbus, OH and in retirement took great pleasure in volunteering in various capacities with the First Unitarian Universalist Church. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on December 13, 1943 to Adolph Louis Biel and Beatrice (Saunders) Biel, and lived in Charleston most of her lifetime. Mary was a loving and generous mother, grandmother and sister, and a valued friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She made friends easily with people of all ages and backgrounds and she will be missed. Mary is survived by her sons, Robert Gilligan Jr. (Mary) of Leesburg, VA, David Gilligan (Dana) of Charleston, WV; granddaughters, Olivia, Alexandra and Veronica; brother, Louis Biel of Columbus, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of Mary's life will be held for friends and family on April 14 at 3 pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Columbus, OH.
