Crane Michael Eugene "Whispers" Crane, age 69, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at home. He was born on February 19, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James Ronald Crane and Hazel Ruth (Taylor) Crane. Whispers proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Metal Container Corporation. Member of the Reynoldsburg VFW #9473, the Whitehall American Legion #490, and was a Mason. Whispers was an avid Browns and Buckeye fan. Preceded in death by his father James Ronald Crane. Survived by his mother, Hazel Ruth (Taylor) Crane; brothers, Ronald Crane, William (Lucille) Crane, Dennis (Janice) Crane, and Steve Crane; sister, Beverly (Larry) Ferneau; son, Tony (Rhonda Huff) West; daughter, Jessica (Gregg Johnson) Crane; long-time girlfriend, Kathy Forrest; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and beloved canine companion, Hank. A special thank you to Kindred Hospice for all their wonderful care. A Celebration of Life will be held at Tailgater's at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL.
