Miriam B. "Susie" Garver, age 89, of West Jefferson, Ohio, died at Heartland Rehabilitation of Dublin on Monday, September 4, 2017. Born July 17, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph R. and Martha M. (Kipp) Murphey, she was also preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 67 years, Harold L. Garver who died in 2015. Also by her brother Ralph Murphey, half-sister Natalie Brassell and half-brother Randall M. Murphey and his wife Martha. Susie is survived by her daughters Cathy Garver and Karen (Wayne) Struble, all of Columbus, her granddaughters Amie (Chad) Rundle of Westerville, Ohio and Cassandra (Matt) Struble of Dublin, Ohio, her great-grandchildren Alexis and Jacob Rundle and Madison Fielding, sister-in-law Jo Murphy of Cumming, GA, brother-in-law John Garver of London, Ohio and several nieces and nephews and friends. Susie graduated from Columbus Central High School, Class of June, 1946. She was a member of the former Zion Lutheran Church in West Jefferson and was currently a member of Grace of God Lutheran Church in Columbus. Susie retired from Ohio Seed Company of West Jefferson after 23 years of service. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. THURSDAY at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162 (614)-879-9222. Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2017 at GRACE OF GOD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1000 Demorest Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204 with Reverend Mark Diemer, officiating. Graveside Committal Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Columbus. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Grace of God Lutheran Church or to a in Susie's memory.
