Nancy L. Dowling Obituary
Dowling Nancy L. Dowling. On December 5, 1940, the world became a brighter, better place when Nancy Hoover was born to Glenn and Ada Hoover in Warren, Indiana. On April 20, 2017, Heaven became a brighter, better place when God cleared her mind and brightened her eyes again calling Nancy home to be with his son and her savior, Jesus Christ. Nancy grew up in Muncie, Indiana and married Charles Dowling on December 27, 1958. Over the next nearly 60 years they lived in Muncie, Princeton and St. Albans, West Virginia and settled in Columbus, Ohio. They have three beautiful daughters, Kimberly Gibson, Lori Guercio (Scott) and Julie Murray (Greg). Nancy's work years included jobs in the insurance industry, as a pre-school teacher and entrepreneur, as the owner of Children's Memoryland, a children's resale store in Mansfield, Ohio. Owning Children's Memoryland allowed Nancy to properly spoil her pride and joy- her five grandchildren, Curtis Gibson (Rachiel), Kyle (fiancé, Elizabeth Cregg) Gibson, Katie Gibson, Wesley Murray and Cooper Murray; sister, Karen Jackson; brothers, Jack (Joyce), Mike (Kathy); a nephew and many nieces. From the birth of her first grandchild until the day she met Jesus face to face she was simply called "Nana". A time of visitation and a celebration of Nancy's life and the legacy she leaves will take place at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio on Monday, April 24 beginning at 11 a.m. with a celebration of her life to follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Central Ohio and Capital City Hospice Care are appreciated. Prayers are also appreciated for the Amazing Sunrise of Worthington Staff as they grieve Nancy in their daily lives as well. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to send messages of support to her family.
