Nannie Mothelis Hawthorne Obituary
Hawthorne Nannie Mothelis Hawthorne, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2017 at Kobacker House-Hospice at Riverside. Preceded in death by husband William Hawthorne, parents George and Pearl Mattox of Boissevain, Virginia and 11 siblings. Graduate of Tazewell County High School in Bluefield, Virginia. She retired as a Deli Manager. Former member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and Asbury United Methodist Church North. Current Member of Unity Temple Church of God in Christ. She was a member of the Mother's Board and the Benevolence Ministry. She is survived by her children, Terresa, Vikki (JR), Lydia (Alphonso) Bell, David (Gloria), and Randall; five grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Bridges, Kyle (Nakita) Bailey, Derrick, Aimee (Charles) Beacham and Lloyd; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Paul A. (Laverne) Mattox; and sister-in-law, Rita Mattox; special nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at Unity Temple Church of God in Christ, 52 Reeb Ave., Columbus, OH, 43207 on Saturday, June 10, 2017, where the family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until the service begins at 9:30 a.m. Pastor and Co-Pastor Jerry and Danielle Revish officiating. Funeral arrangements made by SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL. A special thank you to the staff at Kobacker House for their excellent care.
