Nicholas Mascari Obituary
Mascari, Nicholas
Nicholas Anthony Mascari passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the age of 46. He had fought a brave battle with cancer since late summer, 2016. Wednesday his physical body lost that battle, but Nick's soul won the ultimate victory. He grew up in central Ohio and was a 1990 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. He graduated from Case Western University in 1995 with a degree in mechanical engineering. After college, he worked at Invacare Corporation and later at Moen. His career led him to Bettcher Industries in Birmingham, where he found a close work family. He received recognition and awards for his innovative designs and had more than 20 patents in his name. He traveled widely during his career. He was also respected and well known for his contributions to the blog thirdbasepolitics. Nick was active in New Beginnings Church in Amherst, Ohio and had a deep love for God and an abiding faith in His promises. He loved to travel with his family to Holden Beach every year. He loved hiking in the wilderness with his wife and simply being outside. He had a fondness for bluebirds. He loved sports and was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. Nick is survived by his wife Ady, daughter Paige, son Nicholas, grandchildren Kyley and Cadyn, parents Nick and Catherine Mascari, brother Paul (Kati) Mascari, sister Sara (Corey) Enders, sister Marie (Matt) Ruth, many nieces and nephews, his church family, and his dogs, Baxter and Tucker.
