Olga Bama Obituary
Bama, Olga
Olga Iris Lange Bama, age 97, of Gahanna, OH, passed away on October 19, 2017 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. She was born in Manhattan, NY on February 23, 1920 to the late Julius Lange and Carmen Iglescias Lange. She married her beloved husband, Howard Bama on February 26, 1956. The two shared many wonderful years together before his passing. Survived by daughter, Sandra J. Walsh; granddaughters, Jean Marie Schell, Diedra Bruskin, Victoria Walsh and Stacey Piña; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Tony Lange. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, son-in-law, C. James Walsh, and grandson James G. Walsh. While she always considered herself a true New Yorker, she later resided in New Jersey and Ohio. Olga worked hard at various jobs for more than 52 years. She was a wonderful seamstress with an eye for detail. Most of all, she was devoted to her family. She loved them deeply and she will be missed dearly by all who survive her. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hurricane Relief for Puerto Rico, Alzheimer's Research, or Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
