Patricia "Pat" Cowman, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 29, 1927 to the late Myron and Louise Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Cowman. She is survived by her brother, Don Wright; her children, Samuel (Jane) Cowman, Vicki (Greg) Dunfee, and Susan (Steve) Youmans; her grandchildren, Kimberly and James Cowman, Amanda Turk, Casey Dunfee, and Nikki Lobo, Rachael, Jonathan, and Zachary Youmans; 12 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Snickers. Pat was a 1944 graduate of Columbus North High School. She attended The Ohio State University, graduating in 1948 with a Bachelor's degree in education. While she attended OSU, she created many memories being involved in Alpha Chi Omega. She was a kindergarten teacher for 35 years in the Gahanna Jefferson School District. She enjoyed watching OSU Women's Basketball and football kept up with her daily crossword puzzles. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be to Franklin County Animal Shelter, 4340 Tamarack Blvd., Columbus, OH 43229 and Mifflin Presbyterian Church, 123 Granville St., Gahanna, OH 43230. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4-6pm followed by a memorial service officiated by Pastor David Bubb.
